Welcome to the Crazy House

This is the crazy house - the place you receive those "extra" emails from. Sometimes I call it the cabin or going to Estes or I'm in Estes. It really is a log cabin, built in 1947, but it has plumbing and all the modern conveniences. It's even kind of cute inside, if you ask me, because if you ask me, I was the interior decorator. But it can be a scary place. It has a big basement. Big enough that someone can sneak into and live while I'm not here, and set up house and stay awhile, like, while I am here. Thanks to my son John and movies like The Haunting of Connecticut" and that genre that he brings over to share with his Mom (what a thoughtful boy), I fear there are dead people in the walls ( a convenient hiding place. And an escaped knife wielding psycho, - my other son Andy ?, No...) living down there and I can't hear him, so it's John's own fault he has to go look every time he comes over. That's fair I think. At least the frig doesn't go "thunk" anymore which I didn't notice in the daytime but in the night it sounds exactly like someone pounding on the window. We replaced that sucker . It needed it anyway, your frig shouldn't "thunk".

So, with the beautiful weather I've tried to take more walks downtown. Estes is famous for #1. no, not tourists in my mind, the wind! #2 of course, is the little shops for coffee (Kind coffee - I had no idea my usual coffee was so mean, - Starbucks, a great little shop called Mary Jane's' - no, no, not that kind of Mary Jane, all you aging hippies, Shame! Cute stuff, a place Men would hate, and usually with no problem you can find a store that's going out of business so the bargains are great! Oh, and a new doggie supply store called "Estes Bark" a little play on words, I noticed it right off! Usually walking helps clear my brain and helps me think of emails I want to write. I'll keep working on it....... (less email, less email , less email)
